WHERE CAN I HELP?
Parents are asked to be involved in there child’s education anyway they can! Help be a room parent for parties, help with one of the listed committees for an hour or more, or attend monthly meetings. Being involved in your child’s education makes a huge influence on his or her education! If you would like to help with a committee and your name is not listed please e-mail us at info@roosevelthsa.org.

WHAT DO I GET FOR HELPING?
Your child gets to see your active in his or her school! They get to see that you care about them and their school and what is going on around them. You will also gert your name listed on the 2 Hour Power Wall at the school, something everyone including your child will see everyday!

BACK TO SCHOOL ROOT BEER FLOAT SOCIAL
The Home and School Association hosts a Root Beer Float Social on the playground prior to school starting. Everyone is invited to join us for free Root Beer Floats while the children visit with their friends. Class rosters are posted on the playground that night so everyone will know which classroom they are in.

LABEL PROCESSING
CAMPBELL'S LABELS, BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION, MCDONALD’S RECEIPTS, TYSON CHICKEN BOX TOPS
Roosevelt School participates in both the Campbell Soup Company Label program and the General Mills Box Tops for Education program. You may send qualifying labels to school at any time. We also participate in the McDonald’s Receipts program and collect box tops from Tyson Chicken. We have received many extra items for the school through this program, such as playground equipment, classroom toys, and games and videos.

POPCORN FRIDAY
Dates: Once a month on Friday
Popcorn Friday is a popular event at Roosevelt School.
One Friday a month, parent volunteers pop popcorn for each of the classrooms.

PICTURES - FALL & SPRING
Help gets kids ready for their pictures - straighten collars, comb hair, say CHEESE!

COOKIE DOUGH SALES
The annual Cookie Dough Sales program brings in more money for Roosevelt School than any other fundraiser. It is sponsored by the Roosevelt Home and School Association and headed up by parent volunteers. Students are asked to sell cookie dough to friends and relatives but are discouraged from going door-to-door, especially without parent supervision. Student prizes are awarded for top seller but the primary focus is to raise funds for students at Roosevelt School.

SOUP SUPPER
Our annual Fun Night is held on the first Saturday of February.
Parent volunteers cook a home made meal, consisting of Soup, Hot Dogs, Relishes & Cinnamon Rolls! Volunteers are needed to help before hand cooking, during to help serve and after to clean up.

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
Breakfast is served to the 3rd - 5th graders to get them ready for the standardized testing they take part in. Parent volunteers cook and server bacon, French toast, juice & milk to show the students how important a good breakfast is.

FUN DAY
One day in May is dedicated to having fun! The Home & School Association takes the students and staff out of the building for a day of fun. In past years students have been able to participate in carnival type games, and track and field days.

5TH GRADE RECOGNITION
Parent volunteers help send our wonderful 5th grade students off to Middle School in style! The arrange simple decorations and a small reception after the ceremony.

CARNIVAL
Our annual Fun Night is usually held on the first Saturday of February. Parent volunteers set up and running the carnival games.

RAFFLE
Our annual Fun Night is usually held on the first Saturday of February. Parent volunteers help obtain prizes from local merchants to be raffled off at the end of the evening. Volunteers also help hand out the prizes to winners that night.
