July 6th Home & School Highlights!

ROOT BEER BASH
Thanks to everyone who replied back to the survey about having the root beer bash before or after school. Overwhelming people wanted it before school, like in past years.
SOOOO we have moved the Back to School Root Beer Bash to Wednesday, August 11th!! Root Beer floats and class lists will be available from 6:00 - 6:30 with drawings for HSA CASH and other prizes will be at 6:30pm.
We can’t wait to see everyone and get the school year started!!!

ROOSEVELT CLEANUP DAY!!
We need everyone’s help on Tuesday, August 3rd at 7:45 - ??:??pm (to avoid the heat)! We are going to clean up the flower beds around the school so everything looks wonderful for enrollment the next day! If you have gloves you may want to bring them we will be pulling weeds. ALL KIDS are welcome to come and help!! If you know you are coming please e-mail us back. The more we have the faster it will go!!

ENROLLMENT
Enrollment will be on Wednesday, August 4th from 7:30am - 7:00pm! This year will be Roosevelt’s first year of doing all enrollment forms on the computer. When you come to the school you will go to the computer lab to fill out all forms (including your HSA form!) on the computer. Should be much quicker and easier!! If you go to the schools web page - http://roosevelt.usd489.com/ - to get the school calendar (there is a change with the Root Beer Bash!), School Supply list, Enrollment Fees, and After-School Day Care Fees!!
We will also be taking orders for Roosevelt Sprit Shirts at enrollment! They will be the same shirts and hoodies as last year.

OTHER INFO
        We talked about what to spend our fundraising money on this year. If you have ideas let us know!!
        We got a check from Kaw Valley for a little over $230 for those who purchased plants from there greenhouse during our fundraising week.
        Next meeting will be August 10, 2010, 7:00pm at the School Library!
